The Initiative is open to any organisation that is hoping to contribute to the economic or social development of the programme area.

Proposals for projects must make a positive contribution to at least one of three main themes:

Engaging young people.
Empowering the Coalfield community.
Building and sustaining economic activity.

If your organisation applies for funding you will be asked to develop a project. The Connecting the Coalfield Partnership can support up to 46% of the total eligible costs of that project. The other 54% must come from some other source.
